Who is R!ch!!e K?

Khumo Nare, 21, is a hustler, soccer player, an aspiring model and businessman, but above all he’s a young and gifted rap artist popularly known as R!ch!!e K.

Hailing from Makapanstad in the North West, the wordsmith is a cliché in life but a visionary in creativity. Perhaps this could be credited to his early start at the age of 9.

Like many, he also dreams of building a comfortable life for his family, maybe own a few properties, and give back by building a hospital in a community where healthcare is unnecessarily out of reach. Ultimately, his goal is to change lives. Even if it starts with his music.

The creation:

R!ch!!e K’s songs are mostly inspired by his environment but the story he narrates allows the listener a sneak peek into the life and mind of the young, gifted and black artist of the current generation.

His musical contribution includes his début track, Floating Away, a romantic rendition part of a high tempo, heavy beat and poetic selection that reveals his natural talent and understanding of the philosophical genre. Though he may come across as just another ‘cool kid’, The young performer stands out with a musical focus and influence that stretches beyond the ‘boom bap’ and 808 beats. His method of creation involves experimenting with different sounds and instruments in order to connect with a wider audience while expanding his offering with something unique every time.

Hot right now:

One just needs to put in the hard work to reach it. This is common counsel, but a relevant reality for many of his peers.

However, the rapper packaged this story in a colourful theme, a classical beat and a catchy hook that easily resonates with both the fun and conscious masses alike.

The journey continues…

JUICE

When life gave R!ch!!e K lemons, he made Juice.

In the urban dictionary, ‘Juice’ is a term that describes street credibility, respect, and something overwhelmingly good. North West born rap artist, Khumo Nare, is aiming for all the above in his latest single, Juice.

Due to his unemployment status, the 21-year-old rapper popularly known as R!ch!!e K was burdened with the guilt of not being able to contribute financially to his family’s upkeep, so he decided to turn his lemons into Juice.

The 3-minute track encourages one to keep pushing to taste the ‘sweet’ life.

“Never sleep on the job. Do what you have to do and don’t procrastinate. Work hard to reach your full potential.”

As a young wordsmith, R!ch!!e K prefers to tell his story in song.

“That’s the only way I know how to express my feelings. Pen and paper are like therapy, so since music is what I love, what better way to tell my story?”

Just as refreshing as a burst of flavour inside one’s mouth, Juice is creatively packaged with a colourful visual theme that paints a tasteful picture for the audience to imagine. In essence, the rapper not only offers music to the ears, but an appetising journey of colour and creativity for the eyes and mind.
