From Rap Roots to Amapiano Soul — Mphoza Maizy Drops Emotional Debut ‘Wangthembisa’
The South African music scene continues to evolve, producing fresh talent that blends emotion, rhythm, and storytelling — and Mphoza Maizy is one of those voices ready to make his mark.
Born Mpho Titus Mkhabela in Mbombela, Mpumalanga, Mphoza Maizy began his musical journey in 2015 as part of the rap collective Fame Squad, performing under the name Slow Rapper. His early years in hip-hop shaped his lyrical depth and confidence, but his heart eventually led him toward a sound that allowed him to express more than words — Amapiano.
Now signed under Above The Average (PTY) Ltd, Mphoza steps into a new chapter with his debut single “Wangthembisa (You Promised Me)”, featuring Psyphr LXRD and Spiro Beats. Recorded in Mbombela and produced by Clinton Senzo ‘Spiro Beats’ Mbatha, the song is a heartfelt Amapiano masterpiece that explores themes of love, promises, and heartbreak.
“This song is about real emotion,” says Mphoza. “It speaks to anyone who’s ever believed in love that didn’t keep its word. It’s raw, it’s honest, and it’s my story.”
With smooth vocals, relatable lyrics, and warm, layered production, “Wangthembisa” captures the essence of modern Amapiano — blending soulful storytelling with grooves that resonate beyond the dancefloor. The single not only highlights Mphoza’s natural vocal tone but also showcases the chemistry between him, Psyphr LXRD, and Spiro Beats.
Influenced by artists such as Young Thug and Future, Mphoza Maizy’s sound bridges the gap between introspection and rhythm — combining emotion with movement. His goal is simple: to make music that feels real, connects deeply, and speaks to life’s highs and lows.
With “Wangthembisa (You Promised Me)”, Mphoza Maizy cements his arrival as a new voice in Amapiano — one that carries heart, honesty, and purpose.

Kanye West & Travis Scott Drop “FATHER” Music Video
The official “FATHER” music video is out now, standing as one of the standout visuals from Kanye West’s 12th studio album.
The eerie, church-themed video directed by Bianca Censori leans heavily into the album’s spiritual tone, with haunting scenes and symbolic storytelling throughout. One detail fans quickly picked up 👀 is the appearance of a Michael Jackson look alike, adding an iconic and unexpected layer to the visual.
The album itself delivers 18 tracks with raw production and no AI involvement, featuring moments like “KING” referencing Kanye’s personal life. Early reactions are split — some calling it a return to form, others not fully convinced — but projections suggest a strong debut week.
Still, the “FATHER” video is leading the conversation right now. 🎬🔥

Central Cee Returns To His Roots On All Roads Lead Home
Central Cee Releases All Roads Lead Home EP
Central Cee steps into a reflective space with the release of his new EP, All Roads Lead Home. The 7-track project arrives at a moment where his global presence is undeniable, yet the focus here feels more grounded, a return to where it all started.
Following the momentum of standout records like “Iceman Freestyle” and “Slaughter” featuring J Hus, the EP blends sharp lyricism with moments of introspection. It’s a balance Cench has mastered over time, pairing confident delivery with glimpses into the realities behind the success.
Sonically, the project leans into his signature UK rap and drill influences while allowing space for more reflective tones. The title itself speaks to that idea ,no matter how far he’s gone, the journey always circles back home.
With All Roads Lead Home, Central Cee continues to evolve without losing his identity. It’s not just about maintaining momentum — it’s about understanding it, owning it, and building from it.
