A-Reece, Jay Jody & BLUE TAPE Drop New ‘heaveN caN waiT: thE narroW dooR, vol. 1’ Album

Pretoria-born rappers and blood brothers A-Reece and Jay Jody have finally delivered an album that is said to be equal parts braggadocio and vulnerability. This album has been waiting on for while since it was rumored to be on the way earlier this year. Produced by IceMan Beats and A-Reece, heaveN caN waiT: thE narroW dooR, vol. 1 is further said to recall ’90s boom-bap but with the “lush pads of modern day hip-hop, a perfect backdrop for the two MCs to narrate their story in this boastful family affair”. The whole experience comes through with 11 tracks in total with features from ThandoNJE, Ayanda Jiya, Malusi Masia & Saul Madiope. So it’s going in in terms of experience and clearly it’s a project that requires time to digest becomes of the feelings of vulnerability & bravado being radiated. In  terms of narrative specifics, the brothers tackle a couple of topics such as the  hurdles they faced while growing up in the hood, the game’s shady ways & how they emerged victorious regardless by noting that outside validation “don’t mean s***”…
