DreamTeam has had a busy year so far. Whether it was starting off the year with the collaborative hit Paradise with DJ Kaygo. Or continuing with working with fellow hip-hop voices including Blxckie on DJ pH’s No Pressure or the reprised collaboration with DJ Kaygo on Ugesi.
The duo has been focused on not only collaborating but working on new music. Their efforts brought on their social media activation titled Penthouse Music. A series which showcased how they booked a penthouse, invited some of the biggest producers and recording artists from Benny Maverick, Donald to returning collaborators DJ pH and Blxckie, to work on new music.
In the first track released off their efforts and marking the first lead single the Muntu Wami duo release, December is the surprise announced on Thursday, 9 December 2021, ahead of the official release of the single. December was initially teased by the duo July 2021, during the intimate virtual live experience on V use. It features the Skhanda World new signee, Loki, blending the kasi-rap aesthetic of Loki with the signature Durban hip-hop sound that DreamTeam has created a niche from.
It is mid-tempo, playful summer anthem with a memorable melody and even catchier hook, proving that the duo is still in their pocket when it comes to creating memorable hit.
