Last week Friday, Benny Chill and Jillz dropped the first single off the collaborative Waterbreak 2 which is expected to release on August 27th. ‘African Boujee’ is said to explore the ambition and desire that young Africans have which is ultimately the desire to attain wealth in “a holistic sense including but not limited to material possessions and excess”. Its further said that this song describes the kind of material trimmings that come with having massive wealth… In all the whole song aims to celebrate black wealth and conspicuous consumption.
