Jene Sequa “Malcolm Fisher” formerly known as “Malfis” was born in Johannesburg South
Africa in 1989 to an Ivorian mother and a South African father. He moved to Detroit,
Michigan at the age of 5 and the family returned to South Africa in his teens.
In July 2010 he released his first mixtape The Substitute and in 2011 released his first
anticipated single Xtraordinary. It aired on various local radio stations including YFM,
UJFM, Nkwekwezi FM. A music video was released later that year on YouTube and also
enjoyed high rotation on Channel O and MTV base.
In 2016 he released his second mixtape self-titled “Malcolm Fisher” with songs like N.W.O
featuring Yung Swiss and Tank the Rockstar.
Jene Sequa is passionate about the quality of music he releases to his fans, and he enjoys
collaborating with new up-and-coming talent. His featured artists such as Jay Claude,
ScoobyNero and lately featured X-factor SA Winner Steven Lee. Throughout his career he’s
also collaborated in studio and shared the stage with heavy weight South African house Dj,
Dj Tira, Nasty C, Cassper Nyovest, at the Fact Durban Rocks.
