A young creative artist from Venda is bursting in the music industry with a different push. Atshilaho Makhwathana, commonly known as — Young Offical — a hiphop artist and producer who started music at a very young age. Having begun his career in 2011, Young Offical had to work so hard in order to find his way in the music industry. He broke boundaries by managing to become one of the few Venda artists making a name for themselves on a national level. Young Offical’s passion for music is what kept him going, even when things were hard on hìm, he still didn’t quit. His vision of owning a recording studio was always there since the start of his career. He had to build it from the ground, buying equipment piece by piece over the years, fast-forward to now he owns a fully equipped studio called ‘OffRecords‘ .

Young Offical’s mastering and producing skills are on a different level, his type of sound is a blend of Hip Hop and trap infused with authentic african rhythms. His sound has a different vibe that when it touches people, they get moved. Representing the 015, Young Official’s music is breaking through, he’s definitely on the list of “upcoming artist with the potential of blowing up in 2020”. Even with less promotion and few radio plays, the young creative is still managing to create a huge buzz in cities and villages. He has performed in big shows, concerts, as well as charity events. Young Offical has shared stages and opened for mainstream artists such as Nasty C, Riky Rick, Kwesta, Nadia Nakai, King Monada, AKA, Makhadzi, Sho Madjozi e.t.c
His music has got him a feature on Wits Student magazine, as well as Kindom School of Art(KSA) weekly magazine. He recently did a Guest interview on Good Hope FM, Makhado FM, Radio Turf, Vaal FM and Tuks FM. Young Offical latest song ‘Body Bag’ truly helped him penetrate the music scene, the direction he took to display his talent is very impressive.
