1. Nasty C

Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo, known professionally as Nasty C, is a South African rapper, songwriter and record producer. He gained public recognition after releasing his mixtape, Price City which produced the successful single, “Juice Back”.

2. AKA

Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, known professionally as AKA, is a South African rapper, songwriter, record producer, singer and entrepreneur. Born and raised in Cape Town, Western Cape, Forbes gained significance after releasing his single “Victory Lap” which was released from his debut album, Alter Ego.

3. Youngsta CPT.

Riyadh Roberts, Born December 22, 1991, known professionally as YoungstaCPT is a South African Rapper & Songwriter. He wrote and recorded his first song at age 12, and since then has released over 30 mixtapes and numerous EPs, some of his influences are 2Pac, Notorious BIG, Dead Prez.

4. Boity

Boitumelo Thulo, professionally known as Boity, is a South African television personality, rapper, actress, businesswoman and model. In 2016, she collaborated with Sissy-Boy for a jean collection which was predicted to be about “being sexy and celebrating curves”.

5. Riky Rick

Rikhado Makhado, professionally known as Riky Rick, is a South African rapper, songwriter and actor. He is known for his style and his love for the local fashion scene. He is the founder and owner of record label “Cotton Club Records”. Makhado rose to fame when he released his single “Nafukwa”, in 2014

6. Shane Eagle

Shane Patrick Hughes, known professionally as Shane Eagle, is a South African rapper, songwriter, television personality and record producer. He rose to fame in 2015, after finishing third place on the first season of the Vuzu rapping reality competition, The Hustle

7. Yanga Chief

Yanga Ntshakaza was born in Mthatha in the Eastern Cape in October 1987 and grew up in Queenstown. Arriving in Johannesburg in 2006, he studied towards a BA degree in Audio Visual Production Management at the University of Johannesburg. In his 2nd year, he got a junior position in the University’s SRC.

Refiloe Maele Phoolo, professionally known as Cassper Nyovest, is a South African rapper, songwriter, entrepreneur and record producer. Born and raised in Mahikeng, North West, he is regarded as one of the most successful artists in South Africa. In 2014, he established his own record label, Family Tree Records.

9. Nadia Nakai

Nadia Nakai (born May 18, 1990) is a South African Singer, Songwriter, and Rapper from Johannesburg. At the age of 16, she changed her surname. In fact, her inspiration is Kenyan rapper Nazizi. She met her while living in Kenya.

10. A-Reece

Lehlogonolo Ronald Mataboge known professionally as A-Reece, is a South African rapper, songwriter, and record producer born and raised in Pretoria, Gauteng. A-Reece signed with Ambitiouz Entertainment in 2015. After disputes with management, he left to become an independent artist
