Introducing a new artist – Levonke – a goal driven 20 year old from Durban, Kwazulu-natal. Born Ryan Edward van Niekerk, Levonke is a hip hop artist with a dream to positively represent the country on the global scale. He has utilised his mixed raced background to influence the kind of music he makes.
Hip hop has been a big part of Levonke’s life, taking it back to 2008 when he began listening to the likes of Lil Wayne, T.I, Tyga etc, their rap skills and fascinating flows gave him inspiration to venture into hip hop. Levonke began making music in 2015 and since then, he has worked with high profiled artists in and around Durban, artists such as Neo Ndawo, Skorch Supernova and Yashna Lutchman. Levonke is currently pushing his latest hit song entitled ‘Fashion’, which dropped out late 2019. Fashion is a cool dance jam with dope flows, catchy trap beats and brings a positive energy.
