The announcement of Drake returning to South Africa for three dates, in three cities, has sent social media in a frenzy.
The Canadian rapper is kicking off his Africa tour in Mzansi and he is bringing the fever of March Madness along with him.
It has been confirmed that Drake will host concerts in three South African cities on these dates:
- Johannesburg: 18 March 2020;
- Durban: 20 March 2020; and
- Cape Town: 22 March 2020
How much are tickets to Drake SA concert?
Peeps have already started formulating plans on how they will get their hands on Drake concert tickets when they go on sale in the near future.
Students have already cut out a huge portion of their textbook budget for a Golden Circle ticket and those with great ambition to meet the Canadian in person are auctioning their organs in the black market.
Cassper Nyovest reacts to Drizzy homecoming
The details around Drake’s three-city tour are still sketchy at the moment. It is not clear who the promoter behind the tour is. It is not known when the tickets will go on sale or who will support him on stage.
The latter is a question fans of local stars have been asking. One lucky fan got a response from Cassper Nyovest and to his disappointment, it was not the answer he was looking for. Nyovest — asked if he was tipped to open up for the megastar — simply stated that he no longer gets excited “about opening for any international acts in SA because I sell out the venues myself”.
I’m no longer excited about opening for any international acts in SA because i sell out the venues myself but collaboratong with him would be a dream come true. DRIZZY A SUPERSTAR FOREAL!!!! https://t.co/W3uTlXvkIo

He did admit, however, that a collaborative effort between the two would be something like a dream come true.
We will have to wait and see which artists will have the honour of joining the stage with Drake, in March.
