The Big Hash is nominated in the “Best Artist, Duo or Group in African Hip Hop” award category alongside the likes of Biura (Angola) ,DJ Africano (Morocco) ,Falz (Nigeria) Khaligraph Jones (Kenya), Nadia Nakai (South Africa),Nasty C (South Africa), Nyashinski (Kenya), Sarkodie (Ghana) Soolking (Morocco)

Upon seeing his name in the nomination he expressed his feels on Twitter.

“August 2017, I was taking a taxi to Kempton Park from PTA North to get to studio with @official808x after I dropped out of high school, fighting with my mom, friends & teachers laughing at my dream…August 2019, I just got my first award nomination for #Circles ???????? @AFRIMAWARDS,” he wrote.
